It Takes A Village Community Foundation mission is to foster, teach, mentor, educate and develop responsible and caring youth. A child is influenced by their environment, so we are charged with the responsibility to lift them up with our love, knowledge, skills and experiences.
It Takes A Village Foundation philosophy is that it takes more than just the parents of a child to successfully raise a child who can emotionally, socially, intellectually (perhaps spiritually) and professionally function in today's world. It takes the parents, the school, church, and community to be supportive in order for a child to be successful. ITAV provides after school homework assistance, California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE) test preparation and academic tutoring. . ITAV is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes the educational, social and physical development of Los Angeles youth. ITAV Talent Showcase uses performance showcase to foster emotional, social and community support in the development of young people. Through our dedicated volunteers and staff, ITAV is able to serve as a positive role model while strengthening academic and social skills by providing motivation and rewards to those excelling. The goal of the organization is to work with the children year round to maintain a deeper connection with the children, families, schools and the community.
